VOLUME TO NOTHING
An alternative/hard rock band from York, Pennsylvania, Volume To Nothing (aka VTN) is a unique pairing of musicians who have played together in various projects spanning almost 15 years. VTN is fronted by Shawn Williams, who gained his first touring experience playing bass in the band, portion, with lead guitarist, Pete Vaughn. Shawn later spent 11 years touring internationally as bass/drum tech for the multi-platinum band, Līve.
Nate Jones (bass) has held down the rhythm section in multiple live and studio projects in central Pennsylvania, including Torn from Red. Dan Meyer (drums) is a sound engineer and producer with a unique, technical style, complimenting the band’s classic rock influences.
Volume To Nothing released its debut EP, Nascency, in 2019. The five-song collection, produced by the band and Chad Taylor at THINK LOUD STUDIOS, is a guitar-driven, melodic and harmonic ride ranging from ‘90s grunge sounds (Ready Now & Mashup) to modern, alternative rock (Bloodshed). A new, eight-song LP, Galleon, is slated for release in early 2023.
VTN’s unique writing style and raw delivery are sure to take root with listeners. Their studio releases are only to be outdone by their energetic and inclusive live shows. The band has also been known to make listeners feel connected, increasing their draw with each performance. VTN has supported national recording artists, including Low Cut Connie, Jimmie’s Chicken shack, Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown, among others.
